By 2017 there was consensus among the Spotify desktop team that we wanted new features to be built in React, but somehow it wasn’t quite happening yet. I took it upon myself to help address this by rebuilding the “boilerplate” app in React. I put a lot of love into this to try to make it something that would get people feeling excited and positive.
